There are a lot of things that you can fix, or repair. A leaky sink, a light bulb that isn’t working, you can change your oil, pump up your tires….One of the few things that I believe, can never be repaired? Is trust.
If you’re divorced, separated, or whatever title in between you probably understand this. When trust is broken, it’s kind of like the car that’s in an accident and the frame is fucked. (this would be my insurance background coming out) The body shop of life is telling you it’s totaled, and that you need to get a new one, there is no fixing it. And as in life, that’s the right move.
Now this can be applied to friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives. But once someone or something has destroyed that very special, fragile, thing called trust? It’s time to buy a new car. 🙂
